for christmas, owen got some tickets to see the Bruins in action. things started off pretty well, as you can see below - popcorn, milkshake, good seats, all while wearing his official B's jersey:
after the first period, he checked out the live NESN Intermission show from the front row, things were not completely out of reach at that point:
the coolest thing about the club level of the Gahden is that the entire walkway is a museum of boston sports. here is the future of beantown hockey, in the historic penalty box of the old Boston Garden.

finally, we have a tribute to the Splendid Splinter, Ted Williams. this statue is based on a painting which is based on a photo of Ted after catching a pretty nice atlantic on the Miramichi. although reliable word has it that while Teddy Ballgame was not exactly loving to all the locals, it seems he was as good a stick on the river as he was at the plate. for all of you out there wondering, that is, in fact, a Pflueger Medalist that he landed (and yeah, killed - but them was the old days...) that fish with.
if you believe that, then you'll believe anything. at your first game for your favorite team when you are in the 6 year old crowd, winning isn't just important, it's the most biggest thing in the whole entire universe.
