coming soon to a classroom near you

when the team gets a little older they will have to write essays about what they did on their summer vacations as soon as school starts. in the meantime, here is a little help listing what they did during just two weeks on BI, RI. you know, in case the teacher asks later in the week:


  • went on ferry rides
  • read books we found in our cool house
  • took baths with sharks, sea turtles and octopi (plastic....)

  • went fishing

  • caught fish

  • ate lobster

  • ate clams (fried)

  • went clamming

  • ate clams (steamed, after we dug 'em)

  • played with cousins

  • flew kites with aforementioned

  • played I Spy

  • played some more with cousins

  • played in the tent

  • went to the beach

  • went for hikes

  • went for ice cream

  • asked for ice cream

  • went for ice cream

  • asked for more ice cream

  • made a sand couch

  • dove in a sand pit

  • took outdoor showers

  • went boogie boarding a lot

  • sold a lot of lemondade

  • got rich doing so

  • listened to old school reggae

  • went crabbing

  • rode on bumper boats (again! again!)

  • played baseball

  • had races

  • behaved well in the candy store

  • read stories

  • watched some olympics

  • found treasures on the beach

  • repatriated clams, crabs and hermit crabs who lived at our house for a few days

  • tested out new playgrounds

  • held the world's smallest horseshoe crab

  • collected crab shells

  • drove around the island

  • stomped on stomp rockets

  • played guitar

  • played isolation

  • sat on a motorcycle

  • wore the same shoes
